Position Permanent Clinical Neuropsychologist

Job Description Toronto Rehab is the World’s #1 Rehabilitation Research Centre and is revolutionizing health care. We currently have permanent opportunities to join our Neurology Service, an outpatient clinic specializing in neurological assessment for individuals who may have sustained a traumatic brain injury or other neurological injury/illness.

Neuropsychologists who want to contribute to a dynamic interprofessional team should apply. Our clinic provides the opportunity to collaborate with and work alongside other experts in the field of brain injury in a team consisting of neurology, physiatry, psychiatry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, psychometry, and our return to work coordinator as well as participation in weekly interprofessional rounds.

Focussed on best practice, research and innovation, our unique and expanding third party funded program is dedicated to providing comprehensive assessments and recommendations to assist in recovery and return to work for each client.Ê There are also exciting opportunities to support the growth of this service and participate in program development, evaluation, quality improvement initiatives, teaching and research.

What you bring to Toronto Rehab:
· Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology with valid registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (i.e., C.Psych.); proof of professional liability insurance
· Declared competency in the areas of Clinical Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology (adults) or Rehabilitation Psychology (adults); with no restrictions on license to practice
· Declared competence in Assessment/Evaluation
· At least two years experience conducting assessments of individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI) and other neurological problems; knowledge of comorbid psychological factors in ABI
· Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development
· Medico-legal and third party assessment experience preferred
· Experience writing professional reports for third party payors preferred
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
· Experience working in an interdisciplinary setting
· Membership in OPA or CPA preferred
