Oklahoma State University is looking for applicants:
Clinical Assistant Professor Neuropsychology • Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is recruiting for the Clinical Assistant Professor Neuropsychology.Ê This position is actively involved in clinical neuropsychology practice, either pediatric or adult, in the Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS) Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Medicine Clinic as well as other OSU Medical Centers.Ê Responsibilities will include caring for patients in a wide-range of issues, both medical and mental, across an age spectrum. Additionally, the responsibilities will include teaching medical students and residents, as well as the potential for teaching and supervising neuropsychology fellows in the future. Clinical research and service are encouraged.Ê The position will work with existing psychiatry and behavioral sciences faculty.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology, school psychology, or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) or Canadian (CPA) Psychological Association accredited graduate program; doctoral internship in neuropsychology from an APA or CPA accredited program, postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology, pediatric or adult. Two or more years of experience is strongly preferred, but motivated new graduates are welcome to apply.Ê
Requires a Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree; eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma; American Board Professional Psychology board certification or board eligibility; and, a devoted interest in patient care. Requires knowledge of pediatric or adult neuropsychology as well as ethical issues involved in the practice of neuropsychology/psychiatry. Prior research and/or teaching experience is preferred but not necessary. Treatment/therapy opportunities can be provided. Requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advanced problem solving skills, supervisory experience, and the ability to effectively plan. Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records. Good communication and leadership skills are required. Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients and providers.Ê
