Position Assistant Professor in Clinical/Cognitive Neuroscience

Job Description The Department of Psychology at Colorado State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Psychology. This position is at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2018. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience or related field or anticipate completing their Ph.D. by 06/30/2018. Postdoctoral research experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a research focus that complements one of the areas of interest to the Department (e.g. aging, memory and/or dementia, addictions, cognition, and/or perception). The ideal candidate will also demonstrate expertise in one or more human neuroscience-related technologies or toolsets (e.g., functional MRI, anatomic neuroimaging, EEG, TMS, tDCS, fNIRS, computational neuroscience, neuropsychological assessments, etc.). Preference will be given to the candidate whose publication record is clearly and consistently related to use of these tools. Preferred candidates will demonstrate: (1) Evidence of an active, high quality research program with the clear potential for establishing an independent laboratory; (2) demonstrated ability to deliver high quality undergraduate and/or graduate instruction and mentoring; (3) Evidence of the capability to obtain external research funding; (4) Evidence of interdisciplinary research and (5) Commitment to diversity and inclusion. Although the area of specific research interest within neuroscience is open, successful candidates will be expected to be able to teach core curricular classes within the Department of Psychology, including Cognitive Neuroscience and/or Biological Psychology, and supervise laboratory courses in these areas.
