Riverside Rehabilitation Institute, a 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Newport News, Virginia, has an opening for a staff Clinical Psychologist who has either a rehabilitation or neuropsychology background. Responsibilities include provision of inpatient services on a 50 bed inpatient unit, including assessment of and intervention for individuals with spinal cord injury, amputees, brain injury, and stroke; consultation to a long term acute hospital; and outpatient psychotherapy with, and assessment of, individuals with chronic pain, adjustment disorders, depression, and anxiety. The psychologist has the opportunity to supervise doctoral psychology students as well as to contribute to clinical research. The Clinical Psychologist must have a doctoral degree (Psy.D. or Ph.D) in clinical/counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program, completed a clinical psychology internship, and be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Virginia.
