This position is for a full-time, core Assistant Professor academic faculty member in the Clinical Psychology PsyD program at Florida Institute of Technology. The applicant must be a clinical neuropsychologist. Applications from women and men with culturally diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged.
The School of Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology announces an opening in our APA-accredited Clinical Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program for a clinical neuropsychologist with skill in the broader area of psychological testing and assessment. Duties begin August 2018 and include: a) graduate teaching within the area of clinical neuropsychology and clinical psychology; b) supervision at the on-campus Community Psychological Services at The Scott Center; c) supervision in the Concussion Management Program; d) maintenance of a research program that includes research supervision of doctoral students; and e) and may include supervision in local practicum sites.
The faculty member is expected to engage in a program of applied research with the potential to make a significant contribution to the literature and the field of clinical psychology, and secure external grant funding. He or she would also direct doctoral research projects. Teaching may also include foundational knowledge courses in the PsyD program and/or undergraduate psychology courses. Applicants with experience in teaching and/or research in diversity areas, including in his or her clinical specialty, are encouraged to apply. The faculty member is also expected to demonstrate commitment to broad and general training consistent with the Standards of Accreditation.
The core clinical faculty participates in year-round program activities including student selection and admission processes, annual student evaluations, grading clinical oral and written comprehensive exams, and other activities supporting program functioning. Additional activities may include professional service to the program, university and profession.
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited internship, have at least two years of postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology, be licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the State of Florida, and have or be eligible for Board Certification as a Clinical Neuropsychologist.
