The Institute for Learning and Academic Achievement (ILAA) at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, Manhattan Campus invites applications for a full-time Licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist specializing in Child and Adolescent neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations. ILAA offers comprehensive neuropsychological and academic evaluations as well as ongoing advocacy, school consultation and user-friendly reports. Our team members are active in clinical research and participate annually in presentations and submissions to Neuropsychology and general Psychology conferences. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of our multidisciplinary group practice.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Neuropsychological and Educational Evaluations
Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences
Teaches/supervises psychology and psychiatry fellows and trainees
Provide public workshops, written content for the NYU website and school consultation regarding accommodations and interventions for our students.
Contributes to development of new program ideas; participates in grant proposals; active participation in clinical research projects.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program
Completion of a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology
Must be licensed in New York
Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology preferred
Demonstrated expertise in neuropsychological, psychological and educational assessments with children, adolescents and young adults with learning disorders, psychiatric conditions and various neurological complications that affect learning and cognitive functioning
Demonstrated experience in working clinically with complex comorbid presentations including mood, anxiety, personality, and other psychiatric disorders
Ability to navigate educational systems and determine appropriate school placements, accommodations and supports
Comprehensive reports written and provided within a structured timeframe.
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of health care professionals
Prior experience supervising and training post doctoral neuropsychology trainees
Demonstrated experience with professional writing as well as with public speaking
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups
Familiarity with clinical research and data analysis a plus
