Samaritan Health Services (OR), a non-profit integrated health care delivery system has an opportunity for an Adult Outpatient Neuropsychologist
The Neuropsychology Clinic at Samaritan Health Services located in Corvallis and Albany, Oregon is seeking to hire an adult outpatient neuropsychologist to provide comprehensive neuropsychological services for the mid-Willamette valley. Bilingual applicants, especially those that speak Spanish, are strongly encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide assessments for geriatrics and adults who present with neurological, cognitive, and behavioral problems due to a wide range of etiologies. Other opportunities include working with sports medicine and concussion clinics as well as our medical inpatient units. The position will be partially based out of an integrated primary care clinic that houses a family medicine group along with health psychology and clinical social workers. As such, this is a fast paced clinic that emphasizes efficiency and excellent patient care alongside collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Based out of changes in Oregon, we also look to practice out of new and innovative models that are afforded to us by no longer practicing solely in fee for service payment methods.
The position is primarily a clinical position; however, research opportunities are also available. Furthermore, clinical training will be an important part of the job as we have active practicum rotations with the local universities and are an APA accredited doctoral internship program.
Candidates must hold a doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology with a neuropsychology track or sufficient neuropsychology experience from an accredited (APA or CPA) university and be licensed or license-eligible in Oregon. The candidate must also have completed a 2 year post-doctoral residency in Neuropsychology and be eligible for board certification in neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). Board certification through ABPP in neuropsychology, if not already attained, will be required to be completed within 3 years of employment.
Samaritan Health Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Corvallis and Albany are active cities within the gorgeous mid-Willamette valley that offers a great lifestyle of outdoor activities, easy access to the ocean, and quick access to major metropolitan areas hosting sports and cultural events without all the traffic.
