Lifedimensions Neuropsychological Services is a growing private practice, well established within the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital (formerly Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital). The practice is seeking a pediatric specialist who engages well with a variety of patients-pediatrics, adolescents, and potentially with young adults presenting with diverse diagnoses. The position and remuneration are ideal for a professional with exceptional clinical, writing, organizational and communication skills as well as developing marketing skills. Professional mentoring/collaboration is inherent in the practice model and opportunities for continuing education in Boston. The practice has significant resources including varied referral streams, a psychometrician, administrative supports, and flexibility.
Responsibilities: -The neuropsychologist will provide diagnostic clarification for complex presentations, assess patient and family needs, and assist in the development of cognitive and biopsychosocial treatment goals. -The clinical position is ideal for a neuropsychologist who seeks diversity-working with children and adolescents presenting with learning disabilities, attention problems, developmental disabilities, medical and neurological conditions, behavior problems, psychiatric disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. -Consultation occurs with a wide range of specialists-including: physical, occupational, and speech and language therapists; physician specialists, such as neurologists, developmental pediatricians, and psychiatrists; educational teams; and community service providers who provide outpatient and wrap-around services. -Experience working with educational teams is desirable, including the evaluation of educational programs and client observation.
Requirements: -The successful candidate will have completed a doctoral degree from an APA-approved clinical or counseling program and postdoctoral or equivalent training in pediatric neuropsychology. Experience evaluating adults is desired and expertise in projective assessment is a plus. -The candidate must be licensed or license eligible to practice as a psychologist in the state of Massachusetts. Participation as a provider on major insurance panels is a benefit.
Practice Characteristics: -The growing practice located south of Boston provides services to a diverse referral base and patient population across the lifespan (ages 3 through 90+). -Psychometrician support is available and computer scoring to support time devoted to client-facing work. Evaluations can be scheduled to facilitate a work-life balance, including off-site work. -The practice provides referrals, secretarial assistance for scheduling and confirming appointments, billing services, a handicap-accessible building, and free parking.
Compensation: -Compensation is dependent upon experience. Consideration of applicants will continue until the position is filled.
