The goal of this workshop is to provide attendees with a unique opportunity to explore the latest advancements in the field of sleep research. Through a series of three thought-provoking talks, attendees will uncover the connections between sleep, decision-making, neurodegeneration, and cognitive performance.

Discover how various forms of sleep deprivation, from total sleep loss to self-selected short sleep, shape our ability to make decisions. As a result of attending this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the link between sleep-wake disturbance, neuropsychological performance, and biomarkers of neurodegeneration.
2. List the effects of sleep loss on aspects of decision making.
3. Explain the neurobiological mechanisms and brain imaging evidence underlying the cognitive effects of sleep loss.
