Dear NAN members and the extended neuropsychology community,
We have been so looking forward to convening in Washington, D.C. for an in-person meeting. When we polled our members in early summer, a large number of responses indicated an enthusiastic desire to attend an in-person meeting. In early summer, however, there were declining COVID-19 rates and a promise that a vaccine would allow us to return to a state of normalcy. With the Delta variant, the number of new cases reported in the U.S. have vastly increased since that time. Many of our members and presenters have now expressed reluctance to meet in person and have been outright restricted from travel. The health and safety of our members, attendees, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff are the number one priority for NAN, and it is with much disappointment that we announce the in-person 2021 Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. has been canceled.
Together with our Program Chair, Dr. Jill Winegardner, we will provide a virtual alternative with an incredible line-up of presenters on the latest topics. We ask for your patience as we find the best timing and format for a virtual event to deliver our planned continuing education. Rest assured, much like we did in 2020, NAN will deliver a virtual experience like no other to meet and exceed the needs of our members.
If you have already registered, we will refund your registration fee in full within the next 30 days, and hope that you will choose to register for the virtual offering when information becomes available.
Thank you for your support of NAN. We look forward to seeing you virtually soon, and even more so, hope to see you at the 2022 Annual Conference in Denver, CO!
