DIVISION DIRECTOR, CLINICAL BEHAVIORAL NEUROSCIENCE

The University of Minnesota, Department of Pediatrics, seeks candidates for a full-time position as Division Director in the Division of Clinical Behavioral Neuroscience. The rank of this position is at the level of Associate Professor or Professor on the Academic Track or Tenured depending on qualifications.

Essential qualifications: Ph.D. in clinical psychology, school psychology, or counseling psychology from an APA and/or CPA accredited program, internship training, and a minimum two-year post-doctoral training in pediatric neuropsychology or pediatric psychology. Applicants must be license-eligible in the State of Minnesota. The successful candidate will bring experience with chronic medical populations and neurodevelopmental disorders. Applicants should have a track record of peer-reviewed publications and a high potential for future federal funding as well as the ability to provide supervision to trainees.

Job responsibilities: Continued development of an independent, extramurally funded research program, participation in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, clinical practice through UMPhysicians, mentoring of junior faculty, participation in faculty governance, and participation in service activities on behalf of the Department and Medical School.

Specifically,
Oversight of Pediatric Neuropsychology, Pediatric Psychology and the Autism Spectrum and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Clinic
Active involvement in the internship training program for clinical psychology interns
Active involvement in the post-doctoral training program for pediatric psychology and neuropsychology
Active involvement in the Autism Spectrum and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Clinic in program development, recruitment and retention of faculty.
Maintain an active funded research program and collaborate with faculty in the Center for Neurobehavioral Development Program and the Department of Pediatrics.
Responsibility for inpatient and outpatient patient care, quality assurance and improvement, medical administration, professional recruitment, utilization review, participation in site, CSU and hospital medical staff meetings, and planning and marketing of services.
