Job Description Behavior Management Associates (BMA) has an opening for a clinical neuropsychologist to perform a wide range of evaluations including dementia/memory, Alzheimer's, autism spectrum disorders, tumor & stroke assessment, traumatic brain injury and developmental disorders. BMA has an established referral network mostly consisting of local neurologists and pediatricians with other referrals sources being in-house referrals, primary care physicians, and attorneys. Licensure supervision is available if needed. There is currently no neuropsychologist providing services in our area as our current neuropsychologist as taken another position.

BMA ( www.behaviormgt.com) is a multi-disciplinary group private practice seeking a psychologist and a neuropsychologist to meet the demands of an expanding practice. BMA was established in 1982 and currently employs six Psychologists, one Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Licensed Social Clinical Worker. All support services are provided including clerical, physical facility, and marketing.

Our current client population is primarily private pay/insurance, but we also see Medicaid clients. Our office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Therapists may work evenings if they wish. Currently all therapists work on a percent of collections basis. Behavior Management Associates is a NHSC Loan Repayment Program site.

The community of Joplin, Missouri (joplincc.com/) is a medical hub for a large number of towns in the surrounding area. Although located in a Standard Metropolitan Area, Joplin provides the life style of a moderate sized city with a number of smaller towns close by. The area has excellent educational systems, including a newly designated university, Missouri Southern State University, with some graduate courses (mssu.edu). A university with many masters level graduate level programs, Pittsburg State University (pittstate.edu) and a major university, The University of Arkansas (uark.edu) within 30 minutes and an hour and a half driving time, respectively. There are three K-12 school systems in or very close to Joplin. They are the Joplin (www.joplinschools.org/), Webb City (www.wcr7.org/) and Carl Junction (www.cjr1.org) school districts. Within 20 minutes driving time are also located the Carthage (carthagetigers.org), Neosho (neoshosd.org), Diamond (https://www.diamondwildcats.org/ )and Seneca (http://www.senecar7.com/) school districts. The Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School (tjeffschool.org) is a private school located in Joplin with grades K - 12. In addition, Joplin has a number of Christian schools including: Catholic (jacss.org) and Lutheran (greatschools.org/missouri/joplin/2741-Martin-Luther-School/) school systems with grades K - 12 and preschool through six respectively.
Joplin is consistently ranked among the bottom ten cities in America in terms of cost of living (missourieconomy.org/researchandplanning/indicators/cost_of_living/index.stm). The Ozarks provide ample recreational opportunities for all kinds of outdoor activities. Three large lakes, Table Rock, (mostateparks.com/park/table-rock-state-park), Grand Lake of the Cherokees (www.go-oklahoma.com/Grand-Lake-O-The-Cherokees/) and Stockton, (mostateparks.com/park/stockton-state-park), as well as many clear streams and hiking trails, are located within an hourˆs driving time from Joplin. The larger cities of Tulsa, OK and Springfield, MO with such attractions as symphony orchestras and zoos are within one and a half hours driving time.
