Position Clinical Neuropsychologist

Job Description The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences, at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, is seeking candidates for a full-time (Assistant Professor to Associate Professor) Clinical Neuropsychologist. Salary, rank, and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be expected to provide general neuropsychological assessments with a variety of clinical populations, with particular emphasis in providing outpatient neuropsychological evaluations to patients with epilepsy, sports concussion, and traumatic brain injury. Clinical responsibilities will include providing outpatient referrals for neuropsychological assessments, inpatient evaluations, neuropsychological consultation, and supervision of fellows, residents, practicum students, and technical staff. Experience with evaluating and managing sports concussion and mTBI is required. This position will also require externally funded research (45% time); candidates must have a track record of publication in sports concussion. Candidates with active research funding are strongly preferred.

Candidates must have a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited program. Candidates must have completed a formal two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology and be license eligible in Virginia by date of hire. Candidates must be board certified or eligible for board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP-CN).
