Position Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Job Description Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's Hospital has an immediate opening for a Pediatric Neuropsychologist.

Qualifications: Completion of APA/CPA accredited clinical psychology graduate program, APA/CPA accredited internship, and 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology. A focus on pediatric clinical neuropsychology is necessary. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in Rhode Island. Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Duties: This position is primarily clinically focused, but also provides opportunity for teaching/supervision and collaborative research. Responsibilities include outpatient neuropsychological services to children and adolescents, with the potential to develop consultation for inpatient psych-med units. The RIH Neuropsychology service provides outpatient evaluations as well as consultations for children in the Partial Hospital Program (PHP), a unique day treatment program for children with both medical and emotional issues. The outpatient program receives referrals from pediatric neurologists, pediatricians, schools, and mental health providers, with questions of differential diagnosis
and treatment planning for a wide range of patients with developmental, psychiatric, or medical issues. Opportunities for clinical and research supervision of practicum students and post­ doctoral fellow, as well as teaching of other psychology or medical trainees are available.
