Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology Research Boston University Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Center & Boston University Alzheimer's Disease Research Center Boston University School of Medicine
Exciting opportunity to receive multidisciplinary training and to conduct high impact clinical research on chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and related disorders
Research opportunities include: - Playing an active role in analyzing data and publishing findings from in vivo studies of neuroimaging and fluid biomarkers, risk factors, and clinical presentation of CTE, including the NINDS-funded, multi-center DIAGNOSE CTE Research Project. Baseline data already collected, including: tau and amyloid PET scans; MRI/fMRI/MRS; CSF and blood analytes; genetics/genomics; neuropsychological, neuropsychiatric, and neurologic assessments; and more - Becoming involved in the initial stages of new NINDS/NIA-funded Head Impact and Trauma Surveillance Study (HITSS), an online, longitudinal study of 4800 former amateur and professional soccer and American football players; in conjunction with the Brain Health Registry at UCSF - Examining the impact of racial identity and associated social determinants of health on risk for and clinical presentation of CTE and related disorders - Developing new neuropsychological and neuropsychiatric measures to assess core clinical features of Traumatic Encephalopathy Syndrome (TES) - Participating in planned revision of newly-published NINDS Consensus Diagnostic Criteria for Traumatic Encephalopathy Syndrome - Creating and making case presentations for multidisciplinary diagnostic consensus conferences - Writing and submitting NIH K award application

Supervised clinical neuropsychological experience may be available as part of a new multidisciplinary memory disorders clinic at Boston Medical Center.

Applicants must have PhD (or equivalent) in neuropsychology or similar clinical neuroscience discipline and have excellent writing skills.
