Valley Medpsych is seeking a clinical neuropsychologist interested in a rewarding and lucrative career in private practice in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We operate out of two separate offices, one in Harrisonburg, VA and the other in Waynesboro, VA. This opportunity is exceptional and would be particularly appealing to an early or mid-career neuropsychologist with potential interest in practice management and ownership in addition to clinical service provision. There is ample opportunity for flexibility in these aspects of involvement; I would welcome the chance to discuss these options in greater detail with interested parties.
This practice serves adolescents and adults across the age spectrum. We have experienced very significant growth in our referral base in recent years, and this has continued despite the pandemic. Income potential is limited only by how busy the incoming neuropsychologist would prefer to be.
We have an EMR that handles scheduling as well as clinical documentation. The neuropsychologist would be an independent contractor, with a percentage of collections paid to the practice. All scheduling is done by the practice, with reminder calls/emails. Psychometrist support is available as well. Our practice manager is extremely knowledgeable, efficient and effective in obtaining maximum reimbursement for services provided. We have built a very solid reputation in the area among physicians of many different specialties, with most referrals coming from Neurology, Psychiatry and Family Medicine/Primary Care.
We receive a broad range of referrals for differential diagnosis and clarification of treatment/rehabilitative needs for an array of conditions including concussion/TBI, cerebrovascular disease, memory loss/dementia, ADHD, and other cognitive questions and concerns (such as clarification of intellectual disability issues). Our practice offices are situated within driving distance of Charlottesville, VA, home to UVA, where there may be opportunities for academic affiliation and certainly for continuing education. Our office in Harrisonburg, VA is situated very near to James Madison University. There may be opportunities for affiliation within the graduate psychology program at JMU, including the JMU doctoral training program in clinical and school psychology.
