Job Description Clinical Neuropsychology position(s) (academic appointment rank open)

Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI), Phoenix, Arizona, consistently ranked in the Top 15 institutions for neurology and neurosurgery by US News, has an opening for one to two Clinical Neuropsychologists with expertise in bilingual (Spanish/English) neuropsychological assessment and treatment. Although the positon is for a generalist clinical neuropsychologist, persons with additional expertise and interest in cross-cultural issues, geriatrics and/or rehabilitation are especially welcome to apply. The individual will primarily conduct outpatient neuropsychological evaluations of individuals with known or suspected brain disorders. Inpatient/rehabilitation evaluations may also be required.

Faculty members in the department participate in training neuropsychology residents (BNI currently takes 2-3 fellows per year in an APPCN-approved program).

The BNI is home to the world-renowned Muhammad Ali movement disorders center, an endowed ALS center, a large Alzheimer's center, and an epilepsy center. Neurosurgery (home also to the Center for Neuromodulation) is one of the largest departments in the world. The neuropsychology department currently has 12 faculty, 4 fellows, and 7 psychometrists. Faculty include also two rehabilitation psychologists.

Candidates must be licensable as a psychologist in Arizona. If not already board-certified in neuropsychology, the individual will be expected to be ABPP-certified within three years of employment.
