Position Rehabilitation Psychologist / Neuropsychologist

Job Description The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time faculty adult or lifespan rehabilitation psychologist or neuropsychologist to join our growing division.

We are seeking a candidate who has an interest in neurorehabilitation with a focus on brain and spinal cord injury to work as part of our inpatient interdisciplinary team and outpatient psychotherapy service at UPMC Mercy in the Division of Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology. Duties would include completing assessments, therapy services, and patient/family education with primarily an adult population. Opportunities also exist for program development, clinical research, telemedicine services, supervision and training, and outpatient involvement across a wide range of populations.

The Division of Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation, within the Department of PM&R, serves pediatric and adult patients with traumatic and acquired brain injury, complex medical and neurologic conditions, neurodevelopmental disorders, trauma, burn injury, spinal cord injury, and cancer. UPMC Mercy is home to the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute that has three distinct units- stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and brain injury. The institute has a 20-bed dedicated unit for spinal cord injuries. In addition, the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute is one of only 14 programs in the United States designated as a spinal cord injury model system. Our centers combine advanced clinical care with cutting-edge research and technology and were recently named 10th in U.S. News & World Report ranking.

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA/CPA accredited program, have completed an APA/CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship, and postdoctoral residency in Rehabilitation Psychology or Neuropsychology. Qualified candidates will also be ABPP board certified or must be eligible for ABPP board certification in Rehabilitation, Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical Health Psychology, or Geropsychology.
