Tenure Track Position in
Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology)
Located in downtown Toronto, the largest and most culturally diverse city in Canada and on the territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee and the Wendat Peoples, the Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) invites applications for a tenure track position in Clinical Neuropsychology at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2023, subject to final budgetary approval. We are especially interested in applicants who will integrate diverse and inclusive perspectives into their research and teaching in the context of clinical neuropsychology. Interest or experience in teaching any of the following courses is also an asset: Introductory Psychology, Biological Psychology, Stress and Coping, Anatomy of the Human Brain, Clinical Psychopharmacology.

The successful candidate will engage in a combination of teaching, research, supervision, and service duties. Specifically, these include contributing to our undergraduate (BA) and graduate (MA/PhD) programs through teaching and student supervision; establishing and maintaining a strong, independent, and externally-funded research program; and engaging in the academic life of the Department, the Faculty, and the University.
We are interested in candidates who will contribute to our existing research and teaching strengths by bringing innovative and diverse perspectives and experiences to their work. Candidates will hold a PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related area. We expect candidates to be eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, with specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology. Candidates will also present evidence of the following:
- a strong, emerging research profile and scholarly record that demonstrates evidence of impact through peer-reviewed publications and other contributions including high-quality knowledge translation and applied work, as well as an ability to establish and maintain an independent, externally-funded research program;
- potential for high-quality undergraduate and graduate teaching and student training for a diverse student population;
- a capacity and commitment to collegial service; and
- experience in, and commitment to proactively advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice in their teaching, mentorship, and research.

Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology has undergone extraordinary growth and diversification over the past decade, and currently includes 36 tenure-stream faculty members, over 100 graduate (MA/ PhD) students and an undergraduate (BA) program that will grow to over 1200 students by 2024. Our CPA-accredited clinical training program is among the most applied to programs in the country.
