Children’s Hospital Colorado/University of Colorado School of Medicine (UCSOM) announce an opening for a Pediatric Neuropsychologist to join the Department of Pediatrics/Section of Neurology. This is an academic position for an early- or mid-career neuropsychologist with appointment through UCSOM commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications. Successful candidates will have had comprehensive experience in clinical care, teaching, and research/academic endeavors. Applicants must have completed an APPCN-member fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology and be eligible for or have completed Board Certification (ABPP/AACN).

The Neuropsychology Program in the Section of Neurology is housed at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Currently, 8 pediatric neuropsychologists are supported by 5 psychometrists, a medical assistant, nursing, and administrative staff. The clinical program provides outpatient and inpatient evaluations with children, from birth through young adulthood, with a range of medical disorders including, but not limited to, epilepsy/epilepsy surgery, cancer and blood disorders, neuro-immunological disorders, cardiac disease, stroke, neuromuscular disease, genetic disorders, and metabolic disorders. We emphasize a tiered model of care, including screening, consultation within multidisciplinary clinics, targeted evaluation as well as more traditional assessment. Incoming faculty will be encouraged to develop clinical and research programs for specific populations, depending upon their interests and opportunity. Faculty members provide care throughout the Network of Care in the Denver Metro area. The program provides neuropsychological training for externs, interns, and fellows. We are committed to providing resources for individuals from diverse linguistic and ethnic backgrounds and offer bilingual (Spanish/English) assessments and training in bilingual/multicultural neuropsychological care. We are supported by the Research Institute and Research Enterprise, with resources both at the University and at Children’s Hospital.
