Gaylord Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time Neuropsychologist. Our Neuropsychologists are an integral part of a high-performing team tasked with conducting inpatient and outpatient assessments on adolescents, adults and older adults within a leading specialty organization that has distinguished itself as a leader in neurologic evaluation and care.

Job Summary: The Neuropsychologist will be treating patients who have experienced traumatic brain injury/concussion, stroke, dementia, or have Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, or other neurologic diseases. Our team is currently made up of neuropsychologists, a psychology technician, social workers, a hospital chaplain and we are supported by a practice supervisor and a secretary. Opportunities exist to supervise a practicum student, participate in research, and be a part of a healthy aging initiative. Bilingual applicants are also always welcomed! We serve a multi-lingual community, we have staff fluent in Spanish and French, and opportunities exist to flex your language skills. Our caseloads are reasonable, we do not want people burdened with never-ending take-home work, the pay is very competitive and we have a bonus structure in place. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains knowledge of current standards of practice in the field of Neuropsychology and rehabilitation and delivers appropriate psychological services in an effective and efficient manner.
- Engages in appropriate professional activities within the department and in the community.

Qualifications:
- PhD. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program in Clinical Psychology and completion of a 2-year fellowship in Neuropsychology required
- State of CT Psychologist license or licensure-eligibility required
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology through either the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) or the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABN) preferred
- Expertise in adult and geriatric assessments preferred
- Knowledge and interest in Neuropsychological assessment of disorders such as stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and dementia but also competencies within all areas of neuropsychological assessment relevant to a medical setting preferred

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday - Friday
