Ralph M. Reitan Award for Clinical Excellence

The Ralph M. Reitan Award for Clinical Excellence is named in honor of Dr. Ralph M. Reitan, a founding father of American clinical neuropsychology best known for developing the Halstead-Reitan Neuropsychological Battery and for his commitment to empiricism and evidence-based practice. This award is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the clinical practice of neuropsychology by influencing methods, settings, or populations served; demonstrating leadership as a teacher, clinician, or theorist; or shaping clinical training and practice in meaningful ways. Recipients of this award have had a notable impact on the profession and its clients through their dedication to advancing clinical excellence.
