Population Health & Cognition: Neuropsychologists at the Forefront

1 FREE CE for NAN Members! Neuropsychology has historically been troubled by long wait lists and lengthy evaluations, limiting the relevance of the field when the public and healthcare providers do not have ready access to this crucial service. Adopting a population health informed approach pulls together many important aspects of neuropsychological research over the past decade (e.g., normal variability, team based care, cognition as a biomarker, etc.) while also creating opportunities to embrace prevention, promotion, and equitable access. Through this work, neuropsychologists will continue to be challenged in ensuring that their evaluations are culturally and linguistically equitable, taking a more global perspective to cognitive health.
