Dustin Hammers, PhD
Dustin Hammers is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at Indiana University (IU). Dr. Hammers is the lead neuropsychologist involved in the NIA-funded Longitudinal Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease Study (LEADS), and he is currently the Principal Investigator on the NIA- and Alzheimer’s Association- funded study Lifestyle Interventions for the Treatment of Early-Onset AD Study (LITES). Among his research interests include remote cognitive assessments, including teleneuropsychology and digital cognitive assessments. Relatedly, he is currently a member of the Global CEO-Initiative on Alzheimer’s Disease Working Group for the Development of Appropriate Use Criteria for Digital Cognitive Assessments. He currently serves as Associate Editor of Alzheimer’s & Dementia: Diagnosis, Assessment, & Disease Monitoring, is the past Chair of the American Psychological Association’s Committee on Rural Health, and is currently a Member-At-Large for the International Neuropsychological Society – Dementia Special Interest Group.
