Clinical Research Grants Program

The National Academy of Neuropsychology is committed to the professional and scientific development of clinical neuropsychology. The mission of the Clinical Research Grants Program is to support meritorious small grants, pilot projects, or seed grants that address the value, worth, or efficacy of clinical neuropsychological assessment or interventions. These projects might be overlooked by traditional granting agencies because of their applied clinical nature or stage of development. Pilot or seed proposals should demonstrate how they will lead to future funding.

50th Anniversary Graduate Student Research Grants Request for Applications (RFA)

In celebration of our 50th anniversary, the National Academy of Neuropsychology is welcoming applications for Graduate Student Research Grants. This program supports meritorious science that furthers the education and careers of Neuropsychology trainees and has the potential to lead to future funding. Preference will be given to innovative projects that broadly advance the field (e.g., the use of wearable technology in neuropsychological diagnosis and treatment, teleneuropsychology, the use of AI in Neuropsychology, etc.)

There will be four awards of $5,000 each, including direct costs only.

Submission Guidelines

A one-page summary should describe:

  1. Introduction of the research project (i.e., what is the topic, describe the proposed project).
  2. Significance for Clinical Neuropsychology, including the innovative/novel aspects of the project and how it will contribute to the field of neuropsychology.
  3. Methodology, including the participants, data collection methods, and general statistical analysis plan.
  4. Budget Justification, including description of costs (e.g., personnel, equipment, supplies, and any other study-related expenses).

References for literature cited.

Applicants must provide a Letter of Support (submitted as part of their application) from their mentor indicating that the institution will support their effort on the grant and that it has the necessary resources to complete the proposed work (e.g., facilities, materials, access to research population).

Email application on or before deadline (September 19, 2025) to: [email protected]
