Leveraging Digital Technologies to Improve Neuropsychological Evaluations | 1 CE Credit
This presentation explores the rapidly evolving role of digital technologies in enhancing neuropsychological evaluations. Attendees will examine how tools such as remote assessment platforms, ecological momentary assessment (EMA), and digital cognitive batteries are transforming traditional models of care. The session will highlight both the opportunities and limitations of digital integration, including considerations around test validity, equity, and data security. Emphasis will be placed on how digital technologies can fill longstanding gaps in access, scalability, and culturally responsive assessment. By delving into current research, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to responsibly and effectively incorporate technology into clinical practice.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this presentation the learner will be able to:
- Describe current trends in the use of digital technologies for neuropsychological assessment and how they differ from traditional methods.
- Identify key benefits and risks associated with integrating digital tools into clinical neuropsychological practice, including issues of test security and psychometric integrity.
- Discuss how digital approaches can increase access to care, expand normative datasets, and support equity in assessment.
- Evaluate opportunities for using digital tools to enhance data collection, training, and intervention delivery in neuropsychology.
