Department of Neurology, Neuropsychology Division (Open Rank/Track Faculty)
The Ohio State
University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center two full-time
neuropsychologists to join the Department of Neurology. Academic rank and track
commensurate with academic record and experience.
Position Overview
At OSUWMC, we are
committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Patients come to the
Department of Neurology at OSUWMC for treatments and services they cannot find
elsewhere. The department has a diverse cadre of faculty and staff who work together
toward the tripartite mission of patient care, education, and research. We seek to hire two clinical neuropsychologists to
join our multidisciplinary department. Applicants with interest in
neurodegenerative disorders and/or epilepsy will be particularly competitive.
Department/Division Overview
The
neuropsychologists selected for this position will join a rapidly growing
inter-professional department of over 80 faculty ( https://wexnermedical.osu.edu/neurological-institute/departments-and-centers/departments/department-neurology
), which includes a team of psychologists within the recently developed
Neuropsychology Division ( https://wexnermedical.osu.edu/neurological-institute/neurology/divisions/neuropsychology).
We also have a large number of advanced practice providers and social workers.
Our providers work together to diagnose and treat a wide range of rare and
common neurological diseases.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary
responsibilities will include outpatient neuropsychological evaluation of
adults in an integrated clinical setting and engagement in transdisciplinary
scholarly activities relating to adults with neurological diseases, such as
dementia, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy. In addition to opportunities to
train medical residents, the Neuropsychology Division has recently developed a
practicum training program, and we collaborate with our colleagues in the
Psychiatry Department in their APPCN-accredited postdoctoral fellowship.
Additional clinical opportunities may be available (e.g., cognitive
rehabilitation, psychotherapy for patients or caregivers, participation in
multidisciplinary clinics), depending on interest.
Requirements
-Applicants must
have a doctorate degree in Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited clinical
program (with an accredited clinical internship)
-Completion of a
2-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology and eligibility for board
certification in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of
Professional Psychology are required
-A track record of
interprofessional collaborative research efforts is preferred
