Position Overview. We are seeking a Clinical Neuropsychologist to join a multidisciplinary concussion and brain injury program focused on the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and persistent post-concussion symptoms. The neuropsychologist will play a key role in neurocognitive assessment, differential diagnosis, and treatment planning, working closely with physiatrists, neurologists, pain specialists, and rehabilitation therapists. This role is ideal for a clinician interested in integrating neuropsychological testing with evidence-based interventions to improve patient recovery and functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for patients with concussion and mild traumatic brain injury
  • Administer and interpret standardized neurocognitive, psychological, and behavioral assessments
  • Provide diagnostic clarification for cognitive, emotional, and behavioral symptoms following brain injury
  • Develop individualized treatment recommendations in collaboration with physiatrists and rehabilitation specialists
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy for post-concussion symptoms
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and care coordination
  • Educate patients and families on brain injury recovery and symptom management
  • Contribute to program development, outcomes tracking, and clinical research initiatives (optional)

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, or related field
  • Completion of a neuropsychology-focused internship and postdoctoral fellowship
  • Board certification (ABPP-CN) preferred but not required
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the state of New York
  • Experience evaluating and treating patients with concussion, mild TBI, or neurological conditions
  • Strong interest in multidisciplinary rehabilitation and brain injury care

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in concussion clinics, sports medicine, neurology, or rehabilitation medicine
  • Familiarity with computerized cognitive testing and neurocognitive outcome tracking
  • Experience collaborating with physiatrists, neurologists, or pain management specialists
