Summary

Are you passionate about supporting children and families through psychological assessment and research? Join our Pediatric Behavioral Health team in Bonita Springs, where you'll play a vital role in evaluating and improving the cognitive, academic, and emotional well-being of children facing chronic illnesses.

What You’ll Do:

  • Administer & Score Psychological Assessments: Conduct standardized testing to evaluate cognitive function, academic achievement, neuropsychological status, and emotional well-being, assisting psychologists in treatment planning.
  • Support Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Patients: Assess cognitive changes due to illness or medical treatment, helping determine school accommodation and learning support needs.
  • Contribute to Clinical Research: Collaborate with the medical team on research projects that enhance patient care and advance the field of pediatric behavioral health.
  • Liaise with Schools & Families: Communicate with schools to gather records, coordinate testing accommodations, and collect behavioral questionnaires from teachers.
  • Coordinate Testing & Maintain Materials: Organize patient testing appointments, ensure smooth communication with families, and manage assessment materials.

What You Bring:

  • Experience administering and scoring standardized cognitive and academic tests (e.g., WISC-V, WJ-IV, WASI-II, WIAT-III, WIAT-4, WRAT-5).
  • Familiarity with behavioral rating scales (e.g., BASC-3, ABAS-3) for comprehensive patient evaluations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate care between families, schools, and the medical team.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in psychology or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Some education and experience directly administering standardized testing of cognitive/intellectual and academic functioning is required. Education and direct clinical experience administrating standardized tests of intellectual/cognitive functioning (e.g., WISC-V, WJ-IV, WAIS-IV) and academic achievement (e.g., WIAT-4, WJ-IV, WRAT-5) preferred. Experience in administration and scoring of multi-informant rating scales (e.g., BASC-3, ABAS-3, BRIEF-2) is also preferred.
  • National Association of Psychometrists certification preferred.
