About the Role

I am seeking an early-career psychologist to join my small but thriving private practice on the Upper West Side of New York.  This position is designed for a clinician committed to in-depth, high-quality assessment who wants to grow within a supportive, collaborative environment.

The schedule may be full- or part-time and will be determined collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough, evidence-based neuropsychological assessments for children and adolescents.
  • Engage children and adolescents in a warm, flexible manner that supports their participation in the assessment process.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with parents, schools, therapists, pediatricians, and other professionals to support accurate diagnoses and effective interventions.
  • Prepare detailed, clear, and practical neuropsychological reports.
  • Deliver constructive, compassionate feedback sessions for families.
  • Participate in regular supervision to ensure that evaluations align with the practice’s standards for compassionate, clear, and practical assessment.

Qualifications

  • Licensed psychologist in good standing in New York State (PhD or PsyD).
  • Early-career clinician with solid training in neuropsychological assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas in an accessible and compassionate way.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, ethical, and highly organized.
  • Able to build strong, trusting partnerships with families, schools, and other professionals.
  • Passionate about helping children and adolescents thrive.

About the Practice

My practice is grounded in the mission of helping children and families make sense of the concerns bringing them to evaluation so they can better understand what is needed to help them child thrive.

Through the evaluation process, I identify both the sources of a child’s challenges and their areas of strength in order to develop a clearer understanding of their learning, behavior, and emotional functioning. I strive to make reports and feedback sessions clear, practical, and useful—translating complex findings into language that families and schools can use to understand and support the child.

I aim for the assessment process to feel supportive and collaborative, leading to deeper understanding and, when appropriate, meaningful and practical change. Referrals come primarily from schools, therapists, and pediatricians. While the population I serve is broad, I commonly evaluate children and adolescents with learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorder.
