Cognitive Solutions LLC is an established neuropsychology and forensic psychology practice in the DC metro region, with active county contracts and a steady pipeline of court-referred, county, and private evaluations. We're expanding our contractor network and seeking a licensed, doctoral-level neuropsychologist who wants substantive forensic and clinical casework on a flexible, per-case basis — without the overhead of building or running a practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for clinical and forensic referrals
  • Administer, score, and interpret standardized neuropsychological test batteries
  • Complete capacity evaluations — guardianship, conservatorship, and testamentary capacity
  • Perform PTSD and TBI assessments for forensic and clinical populations
  • Prepare detailed, court-ready reports with clear findings and recommendations
  • Provide expert witness testimony as needed
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of forensic and clinical neuropsychologists

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology
  • Active, unrestricted Virginia psychology license required; open to pursuing Maryland licensure
  • 2–3 years of neuropsychological evaluation experience preferred
  • Forensic and court-referred evaluation experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with standardized batteries (WAIS, WMS, RBANS, PAI, MMPI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with capacity evaluations and the relevant legal standards
  • Strong writing; the ability to produce concise, defensible reports
