Dear NAN Members,

One of NAN’s core values is to promote understanding of cultural and individual diversity as it applies to the study and practice of neuropsychology. NAN’s leadership has stated that one of our foundational values is to embrace diversity and pursue equality. To this end we must continue to challenge ourselves to do more to promote inclusivity, equity, and justice and ensure that all NAN members feel their opinions and interests are represented within the organization. This year, NAN convened a task force made up of leadership from the Board of Directors (President, President-elect, Treasurer), key committees (Culture and Diversity, Professional Development of Women, Membership, Legislative Action and Advocacy, Trainee), the LEAD program, and NAN's representative to the Cultural Neuropsychology Council to create and assist in implementing a plan to address equity, diversity, inclusion, and access throughout the organization. The Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Access task force is working to gather information and address areas of continued improvement.

As NAN’s current president, I would like to hear directly from NAN members and others in the larger neuropsychology community. I value all of your opinions and want to provide space for you to share your thoughts, experiences, and needs. We will be scheduling several listening sessions over the next two months, two virtual and two in-person at the upcoming NAN conference. I hope that at least one of these sessions will work for your schedule.
