Job Description Clinical Neuropsychologist / Rehabilitation Psychologist Position in Outpatient Neurorehabilitation

The Center for Transitional Neuro-Rehabilitation (CTN) at Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) is seeking a Neuropsychologist or Rehabilitation Psychologist interested in the neurorehabilitation of patients with acquired brain injuries. The CTN is a holistic, milieu, outpatient center designed to transition patients to their homes, communities, school, and/or work environments. Candidates should have interest or experience in individual and group psychotherapy with neurological patients and their families. Skills in neuropsychological and psychological assessment are required.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be an integral part of a vibrant and close-knit interdisciplinary team composed of speech, physical, occupational, and recreational therapists, a dietician, a social worker, physiatrists, and a psychiatrist. Research interest is desired and post-doctoral resident supervision is available.

U.S. News and World Report has ranked the BNI neurosurgery, neurology, and rehabilitation programs in the top 40 in the United States. Barrow is a high-volume neurosurgical center and has long been recognized as providing state-of-the-art care for individuals with neurological diseases and injuries. It is home to a Level I Trauma Center with a 46-bed CARF-accredited inpatient neuro-rehabilitation unit and extensive outpatient therapy services, one of the nation's busiest and most active brain tumor treatment centers, eight Centers of Excellence, a comprehensive epilepsy surgery center, and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center. The Institute also provides care to more stroke patients than any other center in the Southwest and is the only hospital in the nation that is triple certified by the Joint Commission in Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, and Stroke.

The institution offers a competitive salary and excellent fringe benefits. Phoenix enjoys wonderful recreation, sports and arts opportunities, a relatively low cost of living for a major city, and given its climate, is a major tourist destination.
