TWO Neuropsychology Faculty Positions Available

The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) is seeking TWO qualified neuropsychologists to join the Section of Neuropsychology as Assistant Professors (tenure-track). For one of the positions, fluency in Spanish is preferred. The successful candidate will be appointed at a faculty level commensurate with experience and achievement.

Clinical responsibilities: Responsibilities include conduct of clinical neuropsychological evaluations within the Neuropsychology Section for a wide variety of patient populations. The section provides services for the assessment of cognition and neuropsychiatric functioning in the context of dementia, movement disorders, including deep brain stimulation and focused ultrasound, cerebrovascular disease, mental health disorders, multiple sclerosis, long-COVID, traumatic brain injury, and epilepsy, amongst others. Evaluations are conducted primarily with adults in an outpatient setting but these factors are subject to change with the addition of a hospital facility.

Research responsibilities: The candidate's responsibilities will also include contributing to the research mission of the section through a broad range of collaborative research opportunities.

Education responsibilities: The candidate will interact with learners at various levels from BCM's education programs participating in assigned clinical activities. These will include graduate students, medical students, residents, and two neuropsychology post-doctoral fellows. The successful candidate will also participate in the Department's and the Neuropsychology section's programs of seminars.
The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in Department and BCM faculty activities, including faculty meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings.

Minimum qualifications include PhD or PsyD from a Clinical Psychology (or related health service psychology area) program accredited by APA or CPA, and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology. Texas psychology licensure (or license eligible) is required. Board certification, or eligibility for certification, by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP)/American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN) is required. If not already attained, completion of the board credential is required within five years of hire.
