UPMC Neurological Institute in Central PA has an exciting opportunity in our growing neuroscience program for a neuropsychologist. The neuropsychologist applies theories and principles of neuropsychology to diagnose and treat disorders of higher cerebral functioning, designs and implements individualized rehabilitation strategies for patients with cognitive challenges, and conducts neuropsychological evaluations such as assessment of intelligence, academic ability, attention, concentration, sensory-motor function, language, learning, and memory.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
œ The neuropsychologist will have the primary responsibility for providing outpatient clinical assessments for adult and geriatric populations in the UPMC Neurological Institute.
œ Strong internal and external referral sources.
œ Typical referrals include dementia, TBI, MS, etc.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
œ Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an APA/CPA accredited program with an APA/CPA approved clinical psychology internship.
œ Two-year formal post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology
œ Current/eligible licensure under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
œ Early career neuropsychologists are encouraged to apply.
