Position Description
We are seeking a full-time pediatric neuropsychologist for the Division of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at VUMC. The position will be at the academic rank of Assistant Professor. The Division of Psychology is home to clinical and research psychologists and has an APA-accredited clinical psychology internship and an APPIC-approved postdoctoral fellowship program.

This position is intended to expand our services in pediatric neuropsychological assessment. We currently serve a large and growing range of child referrals involving pediatric neurology and neurosurgery, oncology and other pediatric specialty clinics, rehabilitation cases including children with traumatic brain injuries, as well as youth with a broad range of neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders. There are excellent departmental resources to facilitate efficient service delivery, including psychometrist, scheduling, and other administrative staff support.

The faculty member is expected to participate in clinical teaching and supervision. This would include participation in seminars in neuropsychology/neuropsychiatry for trainees in psychology, psychiatry, and other specialties such as pediatric neurology and rehabilitation medicine. There are multiple opportunities for trainee supervision at practicum, predoctoral, and postdoctoral levels. We also have an environment that is rich with research opportunities, both investigator-initiated and in collaboration with other colleagues in the Department and throughout VUMC.

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is committed to building a culturally diverse faculty, and strongly encourages applications from minorities and members of other underrepresented groups. VUMC offers an attractive benefits package that includes competitive salaries, paid time off, health insurance, retirement contributions, and flexible clinic scheduling at the provider's discretion. Nashville is a fast growing and diverse city, also known as Music City. It offers various extracurricular opportunities in a beautiful temperate climate.
