Position Clinical Neuropsychologist
Location Phoenix, AZ
Job Description Clinical Neuropsychologist Positions
(academic appointment rank open)

Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI), due to growth of the neuropsychology program, has openings (rank open) for two Clinical Neuropsychologists. The selected individuals may primarily conduct outpatient neuropsychological evaluations and participate in teaching or be scientist clinicians. Research start-up funds and time are available for incumbents with a strong research interest and track record. We are especially interested in recruiting ambitious faculty with interest in medical disorders and/or geriatrics.

Faculty members in the Neuropsychology department participate in training neuropsychology residents (BNI currently takes 2-3 fellows per year in an APPCN-approved and APA accredited program and 1 rehabilitation psychology resident). If not already board-certified in neuropsychology, the individual will be expected to become ABPP-certified.

The BNI is home to the renowned Muhammad Ali Movement Disorders Center, an endowed ALS center, a large Alzheimer's center, Centers of Excellence in Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease and Lewy body dementia. The institute offers a large number of clinical trials in neurology and neurosurgery. There is a busy EMU/epilepsy surgery program. MEG and neuroimaging research opportunities are available. Neurosurgery (home also to the Center for Neuromodulation) is one of the largest departments in the country, drawing patients from all over the world. The neuropsychology program has grown to include rehabilitation psychologists, and has a large clinic space that will be even further enlarged with department growth in 2024.

The institution offers a highly competitive salary and excellent fringe benefits. Phoenix enjoys wonderful recreation, sports and arts opportunities, a relatively low cost of living for a major city, and given its climate, is a major tourist destination.

Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology/Neuropsychology and internship (APA-accredited) and appropriate post-doctoral fellowship
- Licensed/licensable as a psychologist in Arizona
- Must be US citizen or permanent resident by the time of application
