Position Clinical Neuropsychologist

Job Description Peak Performance Institute is a thriving neuropsychological practice located in Goodyear, Arizona. We are seeking two full-time licensed clinical neuropsychologists with training and experience in assessment and treatment of a variety of conditions and disorders in adults. We evaluate intelligence (IQ), AD/HD, learning disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, OCD, PTSD, other psychological ailments, and surgical candidates (e.g., SCS, gastric). We also assess changes in memory (normal aging, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, Alzheimer's, or otherwise), and assess cognitive changes post injury (i.e., such as a concussion), stroke, COVID-19, other neurodegenerative conditions (e.g., ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington's, Parkinson's, etc.).

Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee neuropsychological (structured) clinical interviews. Gather information about medical history, physical functioning, emotional issues, observations about behavior, and cognitive changes.
- Oversee psychometrists, help select the battery of measures assessing intellectual, academic, neuropsychological, and emotional behavioral functioning. [Psychometrists are available for administration and scoring.]
- Be able to conceptualize a case, think critically, understand various contributing factors to their - neuropsychological dysfunction, and incorporate strategies of differential diagnosis to help determine likely pathogeneses of reported (and measured) dysfunction.
- Be able to establish rapport with patients and understand their concerns by posing various questions and observing verbal, and nonverbal cues.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Help to prepare a written report to include interpretation of assessment results, ICD-10-CM diagnostic formulations, and various medical, physical, and cognitive rehabilitation recommendations.
- Complete debriefing with family members and patients regarding test results and rehabilitation recommendations and be able to convey this information concisely.
- Must be comfortable working with a wide diversity of patients. Be precise and detail oriented. Be reliable and able to multi-task in a busy environment.

We are located just west of Phoenix in a friendly office atmosphere with a convenient location near the I-10 freeway. We value relationships and cooperative learning experiences. Eligible candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents and licensed as a psychologist in Arizona (or license-eligible). Employment cannot commence until licensure in Arizona is complete.
