McLean Hospital invites applications from qualified individuals for the Chief of the Department of Neuropsychology. The Chief will build upon and lead a strong clinical neuropsychology program across all levels of clinical care (for adults 18 and above) and the Chief will oversee a post-doctoral fellowship program. The Chief will lead and further develop a neuropsychology research program in collaboration with clinical researchers and clinicians in the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry and other specialty psychiatry, neuroimaging and neuroscience collaborators across McLean Hospital.
McLean offers an outstanding environment for research, including a state-of-the-art Imaging Center, extensive Basic Neuroscience Laboratories, and the Harvard Brain Bank. The Neuropsychology Chief will also work with the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry to support clinical neuropsychology services in the Memory Diagnostic Clinic and the Geriatric Psychiatry inpatient units and outpatient clinics. The Neuropsychology Chief will have opportunities to also work across the hospital's array of specialty Divisions including Mood Disorders, Women's Mental Health, Psychotic Disorders and Drug and Alcohol Use Disorders. As a training site for Harvard Medical School (HMS), the Chief will have the opportunity to provide teaching to medical students and other psychiatry and psychology trainees. Opportunities exist for developing strong clinical and research collaborations within McLean Hospital and across other Harvard Medical School-affiliated institutions.
Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree in psychology from an APA-accredited program, board certification in neuropsychology and licensure appropriate to clinical discipline as a Psychologist HSP in the state of Massachusetts required. Extramural research funding is preferred. Women and minorities underrepresented in medicine are encouraged to apply.
Salary and a recruitment package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will incorporate a HMS faculty appointment commensurate with qualifications meeting academic appointment criteria up to Associate Professor.
