Responsibilities

The Division of Neurocognitive Disorders, within the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is recruiting a clinical neuropsychologist to support a growing neuropsychology service within an interdisciplinary epilepsy program. This neuropsychologist will assist with pre-surgical assessments and participate in epilepsy surgical conferences to help inform medical decision making. An ideal candidate will be willing to assist with ancillary neurosurgical procedures, such as WADA and brain mapping during awake surgeries. This candidate will have the opportunity to shape neuropsychological care within our epilepsy practice, including the opportunity to develop more robust treatment / intervention programs for patients with post-surgical needs related to cognitive impairment and adjustment/mood issues. Postdoctoral fellows with epilepsy training who are completing training in 2022, or early career neuropsychologists, are encouraged to apply. This neuropsychologist will be joining a warm and supportive division comprised of 13 board certified neuropsychologists and will benefit from generous administrative and technical support for their practice. As an academic institution, active engagement in research and education is expected with resources available for program development and scholarly pursuits. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with experience.

License or Certification
Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota and be Board-certified/Board-eligible through the American Board of Professional Psychology. Requirements for the position include completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited doctoral program/internship, and a post-doctoral fellowship with epilepsy experience. Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in multidisciplinary clinical, educational, and research collaboration and excellent interpersonal communication and leadership abilities.
